Karachi, 14 November 2024 – FrieslandCampina Engro Pakistan Limited (FCEPL), a major player in Pakistan’s dairy industry, has partnered with Reon Energy to establish a 3.4 MW solar power system at FCEPL’s Sahiwal manufacturing facility. This initiative marks a substantial step toward sustainability, enabling FCEPL to generate 5,013.6 MWh of clean energy annually and reducing CO2 emissions by approximately 2,506 tonnes per year.
FCEPL CEO Kashan Hasan highlighted the importance of the project, stating, “Our collaboration with Reon Energy strengthens our environmental goals, making dairy production more sustainable and financially viable.” Reon Energy’s CEO Mujtaba Haider Khan echoed this commitment, noting that Reon’s renewable microgrid solutions, powered by the REFLEX™ Battery Storage platform and SPARK™ Energy Management software, provide a robust framework for cleaner energy in industrial applications.
The project also complements FCEPL’s ongoing support for local dairy farms’ transition to solar energy, fostering renewable energy adoption across the dairy sector.
